Senior Partner at EV Private Equity, Greg Herrera, recently spoke to Energy Voice to share his opinion on the oil and gas industry trends that shaped 2019, and provided his predictions for 2020 market activity.
In particular, he discussed the resurgence of the international offshore industry against the force of US shale, as well as the emerging oil and gas market trends of 2019 such as transformational technologies, the growing requirement to integrate Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) factors into all aspects of business, and the rapid emergence of net zero carbon strategies as part of energy transition.
He went on to discuss why new technologies need to be adopted to satisfy global demand, and their impact, which included opportunities for well intervention and enhanced recovery factors, and the future looking trends that will create pressure on global supply and demand.
